Whether you're a breeder maintaining high standards or a pet owner seeking assurance, our certification process is designed to provide accurate results and expert guidance, helping you make informed decisions for your dog’s health and well-being.

At the Vet

Collaboration With Your Veterinarian

We work closely with referring veterinarians to ensure the best outcomes for pets. Through detailed updates, phone consultations, and case collaboration, we keep veterinarians informed and involved.

For remote cases, we offer photo assessments and invite vets to observe procedures at our clinic, enhancing their understanding of complex eye conditions.

Together, we are proud to provide seamless, expert care for pets and peace of mind for their owners.

What Is A Veterinary Ophthalmologist?

A veterinary ophthalmologist is a highly trained specialist focused on diagnosing and treating eye conditions in animals. Beyond their veterinary degree, they undergo extensive advanced training and rigorous exams to gain expertise in managing complex eye diseases and performing intricate surgeries.

When your pet’s vision or eye health is at risk, a veterinary ophthalmologist combines expertise and compassion to deliver the specialised care your pet needs. Their goal is to protect and enhance your pet’s sight, helping them enjoy a healthier, more comfortable life.

There are many situations where specialised eye care can make a critical difference for your pet. You might consider seeing a veterinary ophthalmologist if your pet experiences:

  • Acute or chronic eye issues: Such as discharging, painful, cloudy, or red eyes, particularly when conditions like uveitis, glaucoma, or other vision-threatening diseases are suspected.

  • Vision loss: Whether gradual or sudden, early intervention is crucial to preserving sight.

  • Recurring problems: For example, repeated ulcers or conditions that fail to fully heal.

  • Compromised vision in one eye: Especially if there's a risk of the condition affecting the remaining eye.

  • Lack of treatment response: When standard treatments from your general veterinarian haven’t resolved the issue.

  • Specialised procedures: For advanced care like cataract surgery, corneal surgery, or other treatments beyond the scope of general veterinary services.

Our team is here to provide advanced diagnostics, expert treatments, and compassionate care tailored to your pet's needs.

What To Expect When You Visit Us

Before Your Appointment

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. This ensures we have all the information needed to provide the best care for your pet.

  • Bring any medications your pet is currently taking, along with a history of their eye condition.

  • For some procedures, we may need to administer eye drops to dilate your pet’s pupils. This allows us to perform a thorough examination.

During the Appointment

  • We’ll start by listening to your concerns and learning about your pet’s experience. Understanding the history of their symptoms and any treatments they've had helps us tailor our care to their specific needs.

  • We will perform a thorough eye examination, assessing your pet’s eye health inside and out, using advanced diagnostic equipment to identify any underlying issues.

  • Once the examination is complete, we’ll explain our findings in clear, simple terms. In most cases, we’ll provide a diagnosis and a tailored treatment plan to address your pet’s specific needs.

After the Appointment

  • If treatment or surgery is required, you’ll receive a detailed care plan with step-by-step instructions to help your pet recover comfortably at home.

  • We’re here for you beyond the appointment. If you have any questions or concerns, our team is just a phone call away.

Our Commitment To You
We understand how stressful it can be when your pet has an eye issue. That’s why our compassionate team is dedicated to providing expert care in a calm and welcoming environment. Our goal is to give you peace of mind and help your pet get back to living their best life.
